Fern Island

Submission for Dungeon Crawler Jam 2024

STORY

After crashing your ship into a fog shrouded island, you awaken to notice your crew is missing. You need to find a way to repair your ship and survive long enough to make it off the island. However, you can't help but wonder, why do the ruins on this island look completely out of place? What is causing the fog to engulf this place?

KNOWN BUGS

Storage is currently not functional.

Death does not reset resources and meters back to the start so you need to close and relaunch the game on death.

Fishing can be spammed without any cool down.

Camping in the cave requires 4 wood and 5 fronds to do but currently the game won't show you that. It only works if you have the materials.

All crafting menus and combat encounters reset to starting room position and not where you were when you entered the menu.

After building a ship part, the menu will allow you to make them again if you quit and return to the work bench. You don't need to do this. Go to the anvil with all the parts.

General balancing with combat and resources needs a complete overhaul. 

The ghost currently only speaks to you and nothing else.
